A new favorite! š A whimsical dream of sugar and imagination. The experience is that of a cherished story or French independent film. The delightful pastries and sweets, the new owner is extraordinary, the precious staff, (friendly but not pushy, helpful but not overly opinionated - they are as balanced as their delectable dishes) the decor and the ambiance all beg for you stay and linger. I can imagine losing track of the day whilst exploring the nooks and crannies of their bookshelves lined with classics while enjoying a caramel macchiato with their crafted caramel.
I feel at peace every time I step in here! The chocolate smell is so divine that itās irresistible to not get a treat. My favorite is āTHE cakeā! The sipping chocolate is a close second! I love they they have books for sale in the shop to add to the experience. The furniture and decor is very tasteful and fun as well! The owners and staff are always pleasant. I leave with a smile, and usually, chocolate somewhere on my face. š«
This is a charming gem of a place in the middle of Longview's historic old downtown. Whitney, the owner, is a trained-in-France pastry chef who recently also became an owner of this place. Me and my teenage daughter visiting from Germany had a lovely coffee, chokolate and freshly baked pastry breakfast here, everything was just delicious. The whole atmosphere is cool, relaxed and teastefull. Highly recommended!
What a surprise. I was told about this shop over a year ago and finally got to go. Wish I had found it sooner. This place knows chocolate. If you want to smell your chocolate this is the place to start. We enjoyed a dark hot chocolate and the sea foam. Amazing. This is a beautiful place for all your chocolate desires.
Unfortunately, in our modern society, the small unique artisanal shop is no longer the norm. This place is a gem. One day this place may grow out of itās own charm, itās so good that may be inevitable. But today, itās small, you can chat with the owner who is excited about his store and product, and it is real, genuine, so unlike the big box homogenized everything we get everywhere in every city. Everything is tasty, quality, fun, there are some very unique products, like the storybook chocolate packaging. This is stuff you wonāt get on Amazon or Costco. Enjoy your community, enjoy quality, enjoy real life. Credit where credit is due; I may not agree with his politics which unfortunately are on display, but that has nothing to do with his success in the unique chocolate experience they have created.
